Service Updates: CPKC Train Derailment3 October 2023

On September 27, 2023, in the area of Parry Sound, Ontario, a CPKC train experienced a derailment. While an investigation is currently underway, we are relieved to report that no injuries have been documented, and there is no threat to public safety.
However, we want to inform you that this derailment will impact our LTL operations, specifically those involving shipments traveling along the main line to Calgary. As a result of this incident, a backlog of containers has emerged due to the bottleneck it has created.
Our dedicated teams are diligently working to receive these containers as they arrive, but it is important to anticipate delays. We are actively assessing the extent of these delays. If you have already scheduled delivery appointments, we kindly request that you reach out to our customer service teams to reschedule them promptly. Our primary aim is to ensure that your shipments are promptly delivered upon arrival.
