Fastfrate is one of a handful of trucking companies that have a Canada-wide network. Our facilities span from coast to coast with terminals in every major city in Canada. We are looking for individuals that would like to join a fast paced, professional, growing environment. You will oversee and facilitate the supply chain operations of our company. You will be the one to coordinate personnel and process to achieve the effective distribution of goods. The goal is to ensure the smooth operations of a variety of channels aiming for maximum efficiency. This is a collaborative team environment. While there will be focused roles, everyone in the Blue Squad is responsible for the overall customer and carrier experience and have responsibility for all duties listed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year in a third party logistics or brokerage role
- Experience in cross boarder shipping, full-truckload as well as less-than-truckload
- Ability to make quick decisions
- Strong attention to details
- Ability to manage time effectively and multi-task
- Effective teamwork skills
- Ability to effectively handle multiple conflicting priorities
- Strong communication, customer service and computer skills
- Ability to build rapport with both carriers and customers
Primary Responsibilities of Jr Logistics Coordinator:
- Track loads and provide customers with up-to-date information
- Manage and coordinate daily shipments with carriers and customers
- Liaise with customers and carriers to facilitate their pickup and delivery appointments
- Ensure TMS contains current and complete data
- Respond quickly to spot quotes and customer requests
- Be available after hours to assist with resolving issues
- Follow up on delivery delays or security issues
- Ensure closure of all orders in the TMS system
Secondary Responsibilities of Jr Logistics Coordinator:
- Negotiate freight rates with carriers for domestic and cross-border TL and LTL
- Source carriers
- Grow and maintain existing and new carrier or customer relationships
- Preform work with a sense of urgency and attention to detail
- Other duties as required
