This evolution allows us to offer customers a full suite of asset-based transportation including over-the-road, cross border and intermodal LTL and TL, drayage and transload, warehousing, distribution, final mile and logistics services.

Who we’re looking for:

Reporting to the Lead Developer, the software developer will work with other IT team members by developing and supporting in-house and/or third-party applications. The work is a mix of project-based assignments and responding to development-based helpdesk tickets.  This is position has a flexible work arrangement with a combination of onsite work at our Woodbridge, ON headquarters and working from home.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop, debug, and maintain windows applications using C# and .Net Framework
  • Develop, debug, and maintain web applications using JavaScript, ASP.Net (Core) and API
  • Analyze requirements and design suitable software solutions
  • Develop and support REST API integrations
  • Maintain/upgrade existing applications using C#, VB and JavaScript
  • 3rd party application support as needed

Must Haves:

  • Minimum 3 years experience as a Developer in Microsoft environment using C#, ASP.Net and/or JavaScript.
  • Solid skills on object-oriented programming, ORM, DOM
  • Solid on-prem hosting skills with Microsoft IIS, Apache and/or Nginx, with SSL configuration, migration, and maintenance (not including Certbot alike tools)
  • Solid relational database T-SQL skills (SQL, MySQL, etc.)
  • Solid understanding of software design concepts and the full lifecycle of a development project
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, communication, technical skills, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent documentation skills with Markdown language and diagrams
  • Ability to multi-task and manage different short term and long-term assignments on a daily basis
  • Strong communication skills and a bias for results

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Experience in Supply Chain and Transportation industry
  • Familiarity with Cloud-based computing technology. Microsoft Azure is preferred. Capabilities on using Azure Web Apps, Azure Functions, Azure Logics are a plus.
  • Experience in web hosted applications, networking, and system level data interchanging.
