Fastfrate Group is looking for a team orientated Dispatcher for our office in Lachine, Qc. You will performs a variety of tasks that require planning, organization, superior customer service and communication skills to meet deadlines and quality standards to ensure the effective dispatch of drivers to meet customer needs. The position requires strong communication, customer service, data entry, computer and multi-tasking skills necessary to perform the role effectively.
- Develop and maintain excellent customer relationships
- Schedule pick-ups and delivery appointment times with customers based on volumes and load requirements
- Inform drivers of expectations and requirements of customers
- Enter shipment status, appointment times etc. into computer system
- Keep up to date on shipment and delivery times to ensure appointment times can be maintained
- Rebook appointments as required
- Provide regular delivery status updates to all parties
- Perform various clerical duties
- Minimum 2-5 years dispatching experience with intermodal-rail yards and port experience
- Must be bilingual in French and English
- TruckMate experience; preferred version 2018 or above
- Good keyboard and Microsoft Office skills using Excel, Word, Outlook
- Must have knowledge of the greater Montreal Area cities
- Superior organization and customer service skills with pleasant phone manner
- Effective and creative problem solver with a “Can Do” attitude
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Superior time management and multi-tasking ability
