Who we’re looking for:
Fastfrate Group is looking for experienced Class 1 drivers for LTL in Edmonton, AB.
What you’ll do:
- Inspect equipment before and after trips and submit reports
- Picking up and terminating rail containers from CP
- Super B trailer experience is an asset
- Operate tractor-trailer in a safe manner, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations, to transport and deliver products
- Comply with driving rules and regulations. Reports any incidents immediately to supervisor.
- Pick up and deliver shipments to / from customer
- Loads, unloads, or assists in loading and unloading truck
- Wrap goods using pads, packing paper, and containers, and may be required to secure load to trailer wall using straps
- Ensure load is secured prior to transit. Inventory and inspect goods to be moved
- Service truck with oil, fuel, radiator fluid, etc.
- Ensure all required customer paperwork is completed and signatures are obtained
- Maintain good relationships with customer
- Report any order discrepancies to dispatcher or other company representative
- Complete various reports, such as driver logs, hours of service records, pre-trip inspection reports, etc.
- May be required to lift and carry product for delivery into customer location
Must Haves:
- Valid class 1 driving license
- Valid Dangerous Goods certificate
- Must be able to read, write and speak English
- Maintain effective customer relationships
- May be required to lift upwards of 70 lbs
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- 2 years Class 1 experience required
