Fastfrate Group is seeking a City Dispatcher for our Calgary, Alberta office. You’ll ensure freight moves in and out most efficiently by overseeing the pickup and delivery requests, providing information and supervising deliveries to meet customer needs.
- Assign LTL pick-up and deliveries to drivers according to workload requirements.
- Ensure delivery commitments are achieved.
- Liaise with customers regarding deliveries, service, etc.
- Follow up on delivery delays or security issues.
- Enter information and ensure the system is current.
- Provides accurate data to stakeholders regarding accessorial charges, operational matters, service issues, etc.
- Minimum three years of LTL dispatch experience in the trucking industry
- Must be familiar with Calgary & area.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision under pressure and time constraints in a stressful environment.
- Ability to make quick decisions.
- Strong attention to detail
- Solid interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to multi-task and a willingness to learn.
