FASTFRATE OPENS ITS FIRST EVER INTERNATIONAL
OFFICE IN SHANGHAI, CHINA
January

Toronto,
ON
Fastfrate’s five year plan calls for expansion
into the global marketplace. We have spent the last seven years
building and creating an infrastructure that allows us to pick up
and deliver freight from and to any address in
Canada. We have begun the process
of building warehouses in strategic areas, such as Calgary and
Saskatoon, with Halifax and Winnipeg scheduled for this year and
Edmonton, Cambridge, and possibly Montreal next year.
We now have a national dray service that is
growing very fast and offers services to and from the ports and
railheads in all major port and rail served cities. We also have our
cross border trucking company (Koch Transport) that we hope to
expand considerably this year through some acquisitions.
With all that in mind, we
are pleased to announce our plans to open our first ever
international office in
Shanghai, China.
Mr. Patrick Lawton will run this office.
Mr. Lawton worked with
Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) for 27 years in various commercial
departments including domestic carload freight and intermodal
transportation.
For the most of his career Mr. Lawton
was on the International side of the business dealing with major
international shipping lines, various port authorities,
importers/exporters and manufacturers. He was involved in developing
new markets, negotiating long term contracts with shipping lines and
growing the business through the various ports CPR served in
North America.
Over the past six years Mr. Lawton has been
stationed in Beijing, PRC, traveling extensively throughout China,
developing new markets for CPR, venture opportunities, establishing
closer relationships with importers/exporters, freight forwarders,
the Railway, as well as various municipal, provincial and state
government organizations within the country.
Mr. Lawton has a strong knowledge of Chinese
markets, ports and inland transportation systems. This is very
valuable to us, as it will introduce our services to these worldwide
players. We believe the services we have to offer will be well
accepted and appreciated by any party that ships products into
Canada.
