What began as an architectural rendering and vacant land now stands
one of Calgary’s newest cross dock and warehouse facilities. The
scope and magnitude of this terminal can only be described as a
structure that captures its visitor’s attention by its sheer size.
It is strategically situated next to Canadian Pacific Railway and
sits on 20 acres of land. This Canada Customs Bonded facility has 81
doors and over 100,000 square feet of warehouse and office space.
The entire facility is fully fenced and houses an advanced security
system. The development of this terminal compliments Fastfrates
overall business model of providing their customers with a full menu
of service offerings from warehousing and distribution to transload
and ltl shipments anywhere across North America.
The
grand opening ceremonies will take place on May 29th, 2003 at
11440-54th Street S.E. in the city of Calgary, Alberta Canada.
Speaking at this event will be Mr. Rob Ritchie President and C.E.O.
of Canadian Pacific Railway, and the honorable Mr. Dave Bronconnier,
Mayor of Calgary. The President and C.E.O. of Consolidated Fastfrate
Mr. Ron Tepper, will be conducting a tour of the facility for their
corporation’s guests and clients. “The evolution of this
additional cross dock and warehouse center is a long awaited dream
that has been realized for Fastfrate. Our customers have come to
expect that we provide them with solutions to meet all of their
logistics needs. This new warehouse will enable us to provide
extended services for long or short term storage and allow for the
management of our clients inventory needs,” said Ron Tepper.
Since
their inception in 1966 in Parkdale Ontario, Consolidated Fastfrate
has expanded to include 16 terminals located across Canada. With the
recent acquisition of Network Logistics and the exclusive
partnership with Canadian Pacific Railway, they can now provide
their customers with complete shipment solutions. Their foresight to
put in place the technology, infrastructure, and people have secured
them the enviable position of becoming an emerging leader in the
North American transportation industry.
