Toronto, ON
After many years of
planning and most recently months of construction, Consolidated
Fastfrate Inc.'s modern state-of-the-art cross-dock warehouse and
regional offices are officially up and running in Calgary. This
facility is Canada Customs approved (Sufferance and Bonded).
Calgary's largest and newest truck-to-truck cross-dock has 80 doors
and in excess of 4,180 square metres (45,000 square feet) of
cross-dock platform. As well, the facility will house a 5,760 square
metre (62,000 square foot) warehouse with an 8.5 metre (28 foot)
clearance. The attached 15-door distribution facility will be
capable of storing 5,800 pallets of merchandise. In addition there
is a new 464 square metre (5,000 square foot) regional
administration service centre and operations coordination office.
This facility is on 6.5 hectares (16 acres) that are fully fenced,
paved, and has a state-of-the-art security system inside and out.
The new truck-to-truck
cross-dock will allow greater growth capacity for Calgary's LTL
business. Calgary is also currently experiencing substantial growth
in its outbound intra-west and regional lanes, and this facility
will help facilitate both outbound and inbound traffic.
Fastfrate’s Canada
Customs bond and cargo inspection/transload classification will give
U.S. truckers and CPR an inbound drop yard for bonded cargo. Also,
the bond will allow Import/Export Transload
Deconsolidation/Consolidation.
